Bei Amoudi kann man in den Aheron, dem Styx der Antike einlaufen und ein paar hundert Meter landeinwaerts an einem Steg gegen geringe Liegegebuehr festmachen.Es gibt 2 Duschen, mit dem Schlauch sind die leeren Tanks bald wieder voll, haben wir doch das letzte Mal in Vonitsa Wasser bekommen.
In Lefkada haben wir schon um sieben Uhr die Drehbrücke passiert,wir hatten also den ganzen Nachmittag in Amoudi Zeit. Mit dem Schlauchboot sind wir den Aheron hochgefahren, ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis. Hier tummeln sich Wasserschildkröten, Würfelnattern, Prachtlibellen, Reiher, Eisvögel und Verschiedenes mehr. Dazu ist es angenehm kühl, das Flusswasser hat keine zwanzig Grad. Fast fünf Kilometer ist der Fluss für uns befahrbar ,bevor eine Barriere aus Stämmen und Ästen unser Vordringen beendet. Wenn das Wasser nicht so kalt wäre, würde man meinen einem tropischen Flusslauf zu folgen. Wir sehen auch bald eine Würfelnatter, aber sie taucht ab, bevor ich sie auf einem Bild festhalten kann. Das passiert mir auch mit fast zwanzig Wasserschildkröten, bevor ich endlich eine aufs Foto bannen kann. Hunderte Prachtlibellen in Blau und Grün umschwirren uns, die entgegenkommende Strömung flussaufwärts wird immer stärker. Bei einer Sandbank ist sie so stark, das David das Boot über die flache Stelle zieht. Nach zwei Stunden sind wir wieder in Amoudia. Nachmittags plaudere ich noch mit Bernhard, einem der Stegbesitzer. Er kommt gerade vom Tauchen in der Nähe der Two Rock Bay. Der Sturm, vor ein paar Tagen, den wir im Hafen von Kastos verbracht haben, hat das ganze warme Wasser weggeblasen. Es hat nur mehr 16° Wassertemperatur. In der Two Rock Bay. Vor eineinhalb Wochen badeten wir dort noch im 25° warmen Wasser.
Hier in der End Bay wo wir ebenfalls schon waren, ist es nicht ganz so schlimm. Am Vormittag sind wir hierher motort und werden zwei Tage bleiben bevor David heimfliegt. Aber mehr als 20° hat es hier auch nicht.
